Injuries reported in 6-vehicle crash on Pa. Turnpike


Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Sunday afternoon.

Six vehicles were involved in the crash in the southbound lanes of the Northeast Extension, between Quakertown and Lansdale, police said.

It happened just before 1 p.m. at mile marker 37.5, in Salford Township, Montgomery County.

Crews shut down both sides of the highway as they worked to clear the crash and investigate.

Authorities have not yet said what caused the crash or how serious the injuries were.
