EASTON, Pa. - Lafayette College's Office of Sustainability is hoping its second annual pop-up thrift store will encourage students to think twice before buying new clothes.

The office collected about 1,500 pounds of donations throughout the month of October- sustainability month.

The pop-up shop opened to students on Thursday. Most items were free and a suggested donation was encouraged for higher end pieces.

“The fashion industry is one of the leading industries that pollutes the environment,” said Danielle Kraidyn, co-organizer of the event.
