Boil water advisory

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A boil water advisory issued for an apartment complex in Allentown after a water main break earlier in the week has been lifted.

Lehigh County Authority said the advisory issued to customers in Westmount Apartments is lifted.

The boil water advisory was issued Wednesday after a 36-inch water main break on 17th Street between Walnut and Union Streets, where the road remains closed until final restoration can be completed.

Tests indicate that the water quality meets federal and state safety standards, and residents may return to normal usage of tap water.
