Filmmaker Tess Forestieri visited WFMZ Saturday to discuss her new short film Flunkyball.
She was a member of the first class of the Charter Arts School in Bethlehem and a Muhlenberg College graduate.
Flunkyball explores the culture clash between three Syrian refugees and white Austrian Millennials at a house party based off of a real-life experience after a visit to Austria. Flunkyball takes place in rural Austria and functions as an allegory for racism in contemporary society, exploring themes of culture clash, language barriers, and racial profiling.
Forestieri hopes to start shooting the film this summer. For more information about Forestieri and her project, please visit Seed and Spark or Instagram.
