LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - The Lower Macungie Township Board of Commissioners granted preliminary/final land development plan approval for Jaindl Commercial Park North.
The project includes the construction of a 73,000-square-foot, four-story multi-use building, which will be constructed on a 5.03 acre property, located at 6161 Hamilton Blvd. The plan includes loading docks and parking areas, in addition to stormwater, lighting and landscaping improvements, which were revised March 5.
Commissioners recommended approval of the plan at their Feb. 11 meeting.
Thursday night's resolution gave Jaindl six waivers - one to permit native tree species for use as proposed parking lot trees - and included Jaindl's promise to pay $69,606.69 in transportation impact fees to the township.
The first floor of the building will be split between a restaurant and office space. The property will have two access points. One will be from Hamilton Boulevard, with the second from the driveway to the new Air Products property.
In addition to the land development plan approval, commissioners Thursday night also OK'd a sewage facilities planning module for the Jaindl project.
In other decisions, commissioners granted final approval to Frank Perano for a subdivision of a property located at 5415 Indian Creek Rd.
