A man has been charged in a three-car crash in Lehigh County that resulted in a woman being seriously injured, according to a news release from the Lehigh County district attorney's office.
Thomas Itinger, 51, of Porter Township, Huntingdon County, faces several charges, including aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence.
The crash happened on Route 100 in Lower Macungie Township around 7 p.m. on July 17.
Itinger was driving an SUV southbound on Route 100 when the vehicle veered into the center turn lane and continued going in the northbound lane, hitting a vehicle driven by Philip Coulomb, the DA's office said.
Itinger continued driving southbound in the northbound lane when he hit a second vehicle, driven by Denise Eline, the DA's office said. The crash sent Eline's vehicle off the roadway.
