ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown police say a man fired shots into an occupied home early Wednesday morning.
Officers were sent to the 500 block of West Tilghman Street shortly before 2 a.m. for a report of shots fired, according to a city police department news release.
After arriving, officers found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his body. The man had been seated on a couch inside the home at the time of the shooting, police said. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment and has since been released.
After an investigation, police issued an arrest warrant for Jawon Hurley Johnson, 23. He is charged with aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure, and recklessly endangering another person.
Johnson was taken into custody early Friday morning.
