Like most 16-year-olds, Jorden Moreno spends a lot of time on his phone, but the artist isn't texting or playing games...his phone is a canvas.
Moreno is a digital artist who uses a cell phone app, Adobe Illustrator, to draw portraits.
"I started with people from my school, started posting it and then it started to spread," said Moreno.
From his classmates at Catasauqua High School to professional athletes, Moreno's work is getting a lot of praise.
He found his pictures re-posted by NFL stars like Antonio Brown.
The Pittsburgh Steeler shared Moreno's picture of his teammate Ryan Shazier and Moreno says he's still in shock.
"I posted it around like 9:30 p.m. and went to sleep. I didn't think anything of it and I woke up and my phone was blowing up, it was crazy," said Moreno.
He's even gotten positive feedback from Saquon Barkley after drawing his portrait.
But despite recognition from some big names, Moreno remains humble.
His stepmother says she thought he was just drawing up in his bedroom until she got a call from another parent.
"His best friend's mom called me saying, 'why didn't you call and let me know Antonio Brown is using Jorden's artwork,' and I'm like what are you talking about?" said Felicia Moreno.
But now that she's aware of his talents, Moreno says she's on board and believes her son can turn his hobby into a career in graphic design, maybe even working for the Pittsburgh Steelers one day.
"I'm excited to see where this leads him."
Moreno says he's definitely interested in graphic design but for now he's content drawing for fun and has a long list of requests piling up.
Moreno has never taken an art class but says he was always drawing on homework or test papers and now he has a message for his fellow doodlers...
"Just keep working, even if you don't think it's good enough, just post it anyway, you'll get better."
