UPPER NAZARETH TWP., Pa. - A Northampton County investigator is being honored for going above and beyond the call of duty.
Detective James Taylor was presented with the 18th annual Nathan Ogden Award Wednesday at the county's 911 facility in Upper Nazareth Township.
Taylor is a Palmer Township police officer who helped catch the perpetrators in the 2016 homicide of a Forks Township cell phone store employee.
Bethlehem Police say Taylor had worked tirelessly on the case.
"He followed every lead, no matter where it was or where it took him, securing the necessary evidence to bring the parties to justice," said Mark DiLuzio, Bethlehem Police Department's police chief.
The award is presented to police officers who distinguish themselves through exemplary service and devotion to law enforcement.
