Passenger ejected from sports car in Route 22 crash still in critical condition

The woman injured in Thursday's early-morning crash on Route 22 is still in critical condition at the hospital, authorities said.

Kelsey Gibson, 30, was thrown from the car when it crashed into the back of a box truck around 3:30 a.m. near the Airport Road interchange, state police said.

She was a passenger in the 2018 McLaren and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, police said.

Neither the driver of the car, Alfredo Gene Delgado Jr., nor the driver of the truck, Russell Hadley, were seriously hurt, police said.

The wreck closed Route 22 west for 9 hours Thursday.

State police are asking for information in the crash investigation. Investigators are hoping someone else on the road noticed the sports car and can provide some information. Anyone with information is asked to give them a call.
