ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A man has been arrested in the shooting death of a woman in Allentown in July, Lehigh County District Attorney Jim Martin said.

Isaiah Lopez, 20, of Allentown, was charged with homicide in the shooting death of Lauren Gonzalez, 33, in the 400 block of North Church Street. Lopez was taken into custody after surrendering to Allentown police and county detectives.

Lopez was set to be arraigned Thursday through Central Booking.

The shooting happened around 7:31 p.m. on July 12.

Isaiah's brother, Jasiah, was previously charged with attempted homicide for allegedly shooting Justin Trinidad in the legs and torso on the same night.

Gonzalez confronted a group of people who were involved in a fight in the 400 block of North Church Street, Martin said.

A physical altercation ensued between Gonzalez and Isaiah.

While trying to intervene on Gonzalez's behalf, Trinidad was punched in the face and later shot by Jasiah as he fled to the 400 block of Church Street, Martin said.

As Trinidad was nearing the door to a residence he heard gunshots, Martin said, adding Trinidad was struck several times. Trinidad then saw Gonzalez on the ground nearby with a chest wound, Martin said.

Detectives interviewed several witnesses and viewed videos taken during the altercations and shootings, Martin said. After investigation, authorities alleged Isaiah shot and killed Gonzalez, and that Jasiah shot Trinidad.
