U. MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. | An Upper Macunige Township woman is facing assault charges after police allege she possibly broke her girlfriend’s jaw, wrist and arm.
Township police were dispatched to a Werley Road home shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived to find Robin Bolton yelling and the bloodied victim in and out of consciousness, according to court records.
Authorities report that Bolton agreed to speak with officers and told them that she and the victim had been arguing all day, according to records. She allegedly admitted to punching the woman in the face, causing her fall into a wall.
The victim told police that she’d been kicked, and her children told officers that Bolton had struck their mother. Police said they found a large amount of blood in the bathroom and kitchen,
Authorities said the victim suffered a suspected broken jaw, wrist and arm.
The 29-year-old now faces single counts of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment. District Judge Tom Creighton arraigned Bolton hours after her arrest, setting bail at $30,000. She failed to post bail and was sent to Lehigh County Jail to await a preliminary hearing.
