LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa.- Property taxes are going up in Lehigh County next year.
The county commissioners narrowly approved a nearly four percent property tax increase for 2020.
Supporters of the increase said it's needed to ensure the county's fiscal stability for years to come and to avoid hitting taxpayers with a much larger increase all at once.
Opponents said the tax increase is based on projections that may or may not happen.
They said there is no financial crisis and they'd rather see the county cut expenses.
