EAST ALLEN TWP., Pa. - The Rockefeller Group is facing more pushback on its proposal to rezone a portion of land in East Allen Township.
Rock Lehigh Valley, a subsidiary of the Rockefeller Group, wants to rezone the 155-acre plot from agricultural to industrial for possible warehouse construction.
The land is located on the southwest side of Weaversville Road, behind the Fedex Ground facility.
Supervisors previously denied the rezoning petition, but Rockefeller is appealing.
The East Allen Township Planning Commission voted Thursday night to recommend the supervisors deny the proposal, which would change the zoning classification.
A public meeting before the board of supervisors is set for Jan. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Allen Township Fire Company, located at 3530 Howertown Road.
