ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Firefighters battled a house fire in Allentown Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 9 a.m., a resident reported smoke in a rowhome in the unit block of North 10th Street, according to a 69 News crew at the scene.

Everyone made it out safely, and the surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution, crews said.

Firefighters were able to contain most of the fire to the basement, but the three people who live there are displaced.

No word on what started the fire.
