UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. - A first Friday in the green phase, mixed with the sunshine, called for a pretty easy evening at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley.

A majority of stores were open, attracting shoppers.

"Especially with the sales. There's some pretty significant sales so taking advantage of it," said customer Monique Potts.

But the green phase doesn't mean we're back to the ways of the world pre-COVID-19. Masks are still required when entering the stores.

"It feels nice. I feel like things are like sort of kind of getting back to normal. Even just having to wear the mask I feel like it's worth it," said customer Danielle Potts.

Sales or not, Debbie Werner says she's not tempted by any sales or the freedom of the green phase.

"I don't like it. I don't trust it," Werner said.

She says it's going to take a vaccine for her to feel more comfortable.

"Wear a mask. Stay away. It's a real fact that it's out there. It's not going to go away anytime soon until we have a vaccine. Just be safe," Werner said.

Others say our months of being cooped up paid off.

"It's time but I think you have to be smart about it," said customer David Werkheiser.
