BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. - Saint Luke's University Health Network is getting ready to open a new maternity ward in Northampton County.
The ribbon was cut Friday at the new Women and Babies Pavilion on the Anderson Campus in Bethlehem Township.
Hospital officials then gave a tour of the pavilion, which they say will accommodate about 2,800 deliveries a year. Auditoriums and classrooms were also built to help expand the health network's residency program from 230 to 400 residents.
Last summer, 69 News got an exclusive tour of the maternity ward during mid-construction. It's expected to officially open later this month.
