HARRISBURG | The Pennsylvania Supreme Court announced Wednesday the statewide judicial emergency will end June 1.

This court's order gives authority to president judges to declare local judicial emergencies or to extend them, according to a news release from the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts.

It also allows president judges to suspend jury trials until they can be conducted within health norms and to limit in-person access and proceedings for the safety of court staff and the public, the news release states.

Administrative orders issued by intermediate appellate courts remain in full force until they are expired or are rescinded.
