BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A transgender woman is suing Dunkin' Donuts over allegations of mistreatment while she worked at a franchise store in Bethlehem.
The federal civil rights lawsuit, filed Friday, requests a jury trial and damages of more than $150,000.
It outlines claims of harassment, a hostile work environment, wrongful termination, and a failure to accommodate her HIV status.
According to the lawsuit, the company that owns the franchise says the woman was fired for violating the company's time-off policy.
The store is located in the 200 block of West 4th Street in Bethlehem.
