W.P. Carey Inc., a real estate investment trust, said Monday it has completed construction of a warehouse in Whitehall Township.
The company said the 505,000-square-foot warehouse is a $25 million investment. It is already fully leased, according to a W.P. Carey statement.
The 3585 South Church Street building, west of Route 145, was completed in late August.
The building is expected to receive LEED certification, according to the company. The acronym stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and recognizes the incorporation of "green" standards in construction.
The Lehigh Valley warehouse is one of three investments totaling about $200 million that the New York City-based company said was completed.
W.P. Carey is traded on the New York Stock Exchange as ticker WPC. The company had $120.2 million in second-quarter net income, according to its earnings statement, and revenue of $319.7 million.
The company's market capitalization as of Monday was about $14 billion. Its shares last traded at $76.
