Some disabled veterans in the Lehigh Valley are getting a special gift thanks to the generosity of a local supermarket and the community.

Weis Markets donated $175,000 Friday to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, just in time for Veterans Day.

Leaders of the group say the donation goes towards its "Mission: Able" campaign, which helps vets get jobs, benefits, and health care.

The grocery chain raised $125,000 from customers back in the summer. The company itself added the rest of the money.
