BETHLEHEM, Pa. - After almost three years of planning, the Wind Creek Bethlehem is officially open for business.
The $1.3 billion acquisition was approved by the Gaming Control Board in June. The development includes a $190 million expansion plan that will bring in a second hotel tower and an indoor water park at Machine Shop 2.
Back in June Wind Creek said they have $100 million set aside already for the construction and were looking for a partner.
"I think it's just gonna add to the tourism, to the amount of the people that want to come down here," said State Sen. Lisa Boscola.
Wind Creek is expected to bring more construction jobs and tax revenue. It's still unclear what the time frame is for construction.
