CHESTNUTHILL TWP., Pa. - An Easton woman has been charged in a triple shooting that left two men dead and another injured in Monroe County.

Deani Powell, who just turned 20 on Saturday, was charged with homicide, and two counts each of aggravated assault and robbery in Wednesday night's shooting in Chestnuthill Township, state police said in a news release Friday morning.

The triple shooting was reported around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday at a home on Silver Maple Road.

Dylan Beinert, 22, was found shot dead. Khalil Durante and Walter Howard Durante were critically injured and rushed to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Durante died on Dec. 7 from his injuries, according to Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac. A forensic autopsy is scheduled for Monday Dec. 8 at 8 a.m. at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest. The condition of Durante's father is currently unknown.

Powell told police she and two men came up with a plan to rob Beinert on Wednesday evening, according to court paperwork. She said the two men, known to her only as "Flex" and "Pop," began communicating with Beinert through Powell's social media account posing as "Powell" and facilitating a drug deal, court paperwork said.

Powell said she drove to Beinert's residence where she met the two men, who arrived in a separate vehicle, according to court paperwork.

Powell said she went into Beinert's residence and began talking with him in his bedroom, court paperwork said. After leaving the residence she said she saw the two men, plus an unknown third man, run into the residence, court paperwork said.

She said one man was wearing a pig mask, and another was wearing a black Halloween-style mask and carrying a rifle, according to court paperwork. The third unknown man had his hood up, partially covering his head, court documents said.

While waiting for the men to leave the residence, Powell heard yelling coming from inside followed by the sound of a gunshot, according to court paperwork.

Powell said one of the men left the residence and eventually got into her vehicle, court paperwork said. Powell then left the area, court documents said.

A woman who was inside the residence at the time told state police the two men in masks went into a bedroom holding guns and told her to put her hands up, court paperwork said.

The woman said Beinert and his roommate, Khalil Durante, went into the bedroom. Beinert then got into a struggle with one of the gunman. Durante then joined the struggle, after which two gunshots were heard, according to court paperwork.

The woman told police she saw Beinert unresponsive, according to court paperwork.

The woman said the gunman left the bedroom and then came back. He then told Khalil and his father, Walter Howard Durante, to lie on the kitchen floor facedown, court documents said.

The gunman then instructed everybody to go outside of the house and lie facedown, according to court paperwork.

The woman told police a gunman then shot Khalil and Walter Howard, court documents said.

The gunmen then got into an unknown SUV and another unknown vehicle and left the scene, court paperwork said.

State police said the investigation is ongoing.

Powell is being held in Monroe County Prison.
