STROUD TWP., Pa. | Firefighters spent hours putting out flames at an abandoned resort in the Poconos.

A building at the former Penn Hills Resort in Stroud Township burned Sunday night. There have been multiple fires at the property in recent years.

Penn Hills opened in the 1940s and was a popular destination for decades, until it closed in 2009. Fire officials call it a nuisance property.

There has been no word yet on a cause of the fire.
