12 suspects are in prison and more than $1 million of drugs were seized in a large drug bust in Schuylkill County.

The bust was the result of a nine-month investigation which ramped up in the last 30 days, officials said at a news conference Tuesday.

More than $1 million worth of meth, fentanyl and heroin were seized. Investigators said they believe the drugs came into Schuylkill from Luzerne County, although they are unaware how the drugs were transported to Luzerne.

Twelve of 14 suspects are in prison, while the other two remain at large.

The suspects who have been sent to prison are:

Miguel Carrasquillo Apolinaris of Hazleton;

Felix Diaz, of Hazleton;

Yensi Mateo, of Hazleton;

Manuel Blijden, of Hazleton;

Martin Diaz, of Hazleton;

Cassandra O' Doherty, of Mar Lin;

Anthony Harold Catizone, of Ashland;

Douglass Huyett, of Pottsville;

Jeremy Wengert, of Schuylkill Haven;

Sheila Carter, of Pottsville;

Sharon Smith,of Fredericksburg;

Christopher Madenford, of Joliett.

Joseph James Ganunis, of Saint Clair, and Dennis Shafe, of Pottsville, are still at large.

Schuylkill County District Attorney Michael O'Pake says the ring had been dealing drugs for years and more arrests could be coming.

"If you're a drug dealer in Schuylkill County be careful. We're coming to get you," O'Pake said.
