Police have taken custody of a man they say followed women and minors at stores in Monroe County over the last few months.
Rocky Charles Sokolowski, 36, of Polk Township, is charged with stalking and invasion of privacy, according to a state police news release.
Sokolowski, a registered sex offender, was discretely following women and minors throughout various stores and shopping areas in Monroe County from June 2020 to August 2020, state police said. He also used a cell phone camera to film women at the stores, according to the release.
State police said Sokolowski also gave false information relating to his residence in violation of Megan's Law requirements.
Police are asking any one with information related to similar incidents with Sokolowski to call Trooper Justin Leri (JLeri@pa.gov) at 570-619-6800 or Trooper Milagros Holguin at 570-646-2271.
