SCI Mahanoy in Schuylkill County is reporting its first COVID-19 death.
Officials say a 33-year-old inmate who was serving a 5 to 10 year sentence died this week.
As of Tuesday, the state prison has a total of 100 inmates and 40 staff infected.
It's the 26th inmate to die from COVID in the state system, and the first at SCI Mahanoy.
