DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - A Bucks County jury is still deliberating in the case of Sean Kratz.
Kratz is on trial for the deaths of several men at a Solebury Township farm two years ago.
After a 4-day trial the jury deliberated for 6 hours before calling it quits for the night.
They did have several questions for the judge, which included the difference between 1st and 2nd degree murder and issues around abuse of a corpse.
"It's been awful, it's been traumatic and stressing to see the family of Tom and Mark go through all this," said Carl Givigliano.
The friend of victims 22 year old Mark Sturgis and 21 year old Tom Meo, Carl Givigliano, is hoping Sean Kratz gets the death penalty.
But this isn't the sentencing phase but the verdict. Kratz faces 1st and 2nd degree murder charges, as well as conspiracy to kill, robbery and abuse of a corpse.
This for the deaths of 19 year old Dean Finocchiaro, Sturgis and 21 year old Meo.
In July of 2017, prosecutors say Kratz shot Finocchiaro in the back, killing him then robbed him at his cousin Cosmo DiNardo's Solebury Township farm. Then became a lookout as DiNardo, who has already pleaded guilty, killed Sturgis and Meo.
Givigliano says he knows Kratz and Dinardo, even sharing ride with DiNardo several days after the murders.
"Did you ever think something like this could happen with Sean and Cosmo?" WFMZ's Bo Koltnow asked him.
"No. Never. It was dramatic and quick. No one thought it could happen like that," he said.
Prosecutors say Kratz and DiNardo wrapped the men in a tarp, set them on fire and buried them in a 12 foot grave. Kratz's defense tried to paint DiNardo as having a terrifying hold over Krtaz and would have killed Kratz if he didn't go along.
But the prosecution showed the Kratz never felt that fear.During the trial jurors did hear the emotional pain from Sturgis mother and Finacchiaro's father.
There was a 4th victim Jimi Patrick. DiNardo admitted to killing him a few days before the others.
The jury for Kratz will be back 9 a.m. on Thursday.
