NORRISTOWN, Pa. - The Montgomery County 2020 budget does not raise taxes on county residents.
The Montgomery County Commissioners passed a $428.4 million budget at its Thursday meeting, the board said in a news release.
The budget includes investments in public safety, economic workforce development programs, open space and farm preservation, and support to the county's infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and trails. The budget also includes funding for Montgomery County Community College, the board said.
Under the budget, non-represented employees will see a 2.75% wage increase effective Jan. 1, the board said.
There is a planned $8.9 million deficit in the budget. The county will use the general fund reserve to meet the costs.
