READINGTON TWP., N.J. - A superior court judge in Hunterdon County, New Jersey has thrown out a complaint by a former school janitor fired for allegedly stealing a box of chocolates.

Court documents show the case was dismissed.

Peter Marro was suing the Readington school district for emotional distress, workplace harassment, and loss of income.

He said the candy was left in the janitor's office near the holidays in 2017 and he thought it was a Christmas gift.
