HACKETTSTOWN, N.J. - A man in new Jersey was charged after police say he knocked on a front door asking for drugs.

Alec Baniel, 25, of Hackettstown, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and released pending a court appearance, city police said in a news release.

Hackettstown police were called to a residence on Laurie Terrace for a report of a man banging on the front door asking for drugs on Saturday shortly after 8 p.m.

Baniel reportedly didn't know why he was on the property, police said.
