PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. - The Phillipsburg, New Jersey Police Department is finally moving out of its mold infested building.

The police department announced that the move got underway Monday.

It comes less than a month after the Town Council voted unanimously to move officers from their current location on Corliss Avenue to the former Andover-Morris School on South Main Street.

The department said the public may face some inconveniences when it comes to submitting paperwork such as reports and firearm applications.

People wanting a copy of a report will need to get an OPRA form on phillipsburgnj.org, then complete and email to police@pburg.org. Anybody who can not email the form can drop it off at the Clerk's Office at 120 Filmore Street.

Firearms applicants can complete the application online.

Anybody else who requires services can call and make an appointment at 908-454-5500 ext. 323.

Mold was discovered at the building on Corliss Avenue in the fall of 2017.
