Burger King reopens after being forced to close by fire

WYOMISSING, Pa. - A fast-food restaurant in Berks County is back in business after fire forced it to close for the weekend.

The Burger King on Berkshire Boulevard in Wyomissing reopened at 9 a.m. Monday.

A fire erupted around 7:30 p.m. Friday in the restaurant's broiler exhaust duct work, according to fire officials.

Smoke from the fire caused the need for extensive cleanup before the restaurant could reopen, officials said.

The Spring Township fire marshal is working to determine what sparked the fire.
