Fire temporarily closes Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Berks

SPRING TWP., Pa. - A fire temporarily closed a Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Berks County on Saturday.

The fire broke out around 1 p.m. at the restaurant on Papermill Road, off Route 222, in Spring Township, authorities said.

A flash fire occurred as employees were switching over a gas line, possibly on a piece of cooking equipment, officials said.

At least one person suffered minor burns.

The fire was extinguished quickly by the building's fire suppression system.

The restaurant was closed until the suppression system recharged, according to fire officials. It reopened Sunday, an employee said.
