Sheetz's newest Berks store quickly taking shape in Exeter

EXETER TWP., Pa. - A convenience store nearly three years in the making is quickly taking shape in Exeter Township.

Construction of Sheetz's newest store in Berks County is well underway at 4100 Perkiomen Avenue, near East Neversink Road.

The site served as the longtime home to Bowl-O-Rama, which was torn down in March, nearly two years after it closed to bowlers.

Sheetz proposed construction of the store in August 2016, but a drawn out legal battle between two groups of the bowling alley's owners delayed the project until earlier this year, when the property's sale was finalized.

Sheetz has not said when it expects the store to open.

A Mavis Discount Tire center is also proposed for the 3.57-acre property.
