Allentown man admits to 'hundreds' of child porn images

Allentown police are investigating two separate armed robberies in the city Monday night.

Officers were first called to the Speedway in the 800 block of Union Boulevard shortly before 9 p.m., said Allentown Police Captain Charles Roca.

Two males, both wearing dark clothes, entered the store, showed a handgun, and made off with money and cigarettes, Roca said.

Several hours later, police were called to the JP Mart in the 100 block of West Tilghman Street for a reported armed robbery.

Two males -- one wearing dark clothes, the other with a lighter-colored sweatshirt -- stole cash and took off on foot, police said.

The robberies were unrelated and the alleged robbers were not the same people, Roca said.

No arrests have been made in either case and no one was injured.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police at 610-437-7721 or through APD's tip411 app.
