The family of a teenager who died at the Shawnee Mountain Ski Area has filed a civil lawsuit against the resort, Blair Academy and her ski coach.
The estate of 15-year-old Juliette Dajani accuses the defendants of negligence and recklessness.
She died in what they called a preventable accident at the ski area in January of 2017.
The suit alleges the academy and coach instructed Dajani to ski on a team even though they say she had limited experience and inappropriate equipment.
It also alleges that Shawnee failed to protect skiers from dangerous conditions around snow making equipment.
