Lehigh Tunnel to have single-lane patterns at night for 4 days next week

Part of the Lehigh Tunnel will be closed after 7 p.m. next Monday through Thursday.

The northbound tunnel will be closed at 7 p.m. each evening, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission said in a news release.

All traffic will be bi-directional in the southbound tunnel until the patterns are lifted, by 8 a.m. the next morning.

The closure will allow crews to perform milling and paving work in the northbound tunnel.

The Lehigh Tunnel is located between the Lehigh Valley (Exit 56) and Mahoning Valley (Exit 74) interchanges.
