15th annual SouthSide Film Festival underway in Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The annual SouthSide Film Festival kicked off Tuesday night at the Bethlehem Steel Stacks.

The five-day event is in its 15th year, featuring more than 70 independent films including some from local directors.

Event organizers and participants say the festival is a great way for community members to experience independent, low-budget films that they wouldn't see in theaters.

The festival runs through Saturday.  Screenings are being held at the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Performing Arts, Touchstone Theatre, and Victory Firehouse.
