4 get out safely before car goes up in flames on Route 222

UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - A car went up in flames on a highway in Lehigh County during the evening rush.

Video from a viewer shows thick smoke pouring from the car on Route 222 South near Mill Creek Road in Upper Macungie Township.

Police say the driver pulled over when she noticed smoke coming from the hood.

All four people in the car got out safely right before the car became engulfed.
