Amy Yu on the run again, Allentown officials on the lookout

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Amy Yu, who ran off with a 45-year-old man in March 2018, is missing as of Monday, according to Assistant Chief Struss of the Allentown Police Department.

Yu was found in Mexico with Keven Esterly after a two-week search back in March.

Their disappearance garnered national attention, shedding light on a secret relationship between a girl and her friend's father.

When officials brought Yu back to Pennsylvania, she was taken to St. Luke's hospital. According to her mother, Mui Luu, she would be attending KidsPeace.

Struss said officials are keeping an eye out for Yu because her family is in the area.

According to a release from the Pennsylvania State Police, Yu left Vision Quest, an at-risk youth facility, in Greene Township, Franklin County with two other females on July 23 around 1 a.m.

Officials say they left in an unknown vehicle in an unknown direction.

Anyone with information on the three juveniles can contact Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.
