Renovation plans for King George Inn scratched from planning commission agenda

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - The renovation plans for the King George Inn in South Whitehall Township are still up in the air.

The township's planning commission was set to review the subdivision plan during its meeting Thursday, but it was scratched from the agenda.

Officials say the applicant asked for it to be removed because engineering plans aren't finalized.

The inn is located at Cedar Crest and Hamilton boulevards. The plan is to renovate it, and build a hotel and retail buildings.
