Central Catholic has new coach, new goals

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Once again the Central Catholic turns to an alum to run the football program. This time it is Tim McGorry's turn to lead the Vikings.

McGorry enters his first head coaching gig after spending most of his coaching career at the collegiate ranks, including stops with Moravian and Lehigh. He credits that experience, especially learning from long-time coaches, as a key to his transition to a top job.

Another name from the past, is actually helping McGorry out in the present, Jim Morgans, a former Central Catholic and Parkland head coach, has helped coach the offensive line this summer.

As the team works on winning the task at hand, their long-term objective is to improve on their 3-8 record from a year ago.
