The Lehigh Valley IronPigs defeated the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders 7-3 on Saturday night at Coca-Cola Park. The victory broke a five-game losing streak for Lehigh Valley and also secured the Pigs the 2019 IronRail season series win over their rivals.
The RailRiders jumped out to a 2-0 lead through the first three innings against Jerad Eickhoff, but as he settled in the offense heated up for the IronPigs (61-68). LV tied the game at two in the bottom of the third thanks to a pair of RBI single then in the fifth the Pigs plated five runs to take a 7-2 advantage.
The IronPigs' bullpen secured the win for Eichoff and the team.
The IronPigs play their final home game of the 2019 season on Sunday against the RailRiders. First pitch is set for 1:35 p.m.
