PHILLIPSBURG, N.J. - High School football in Pennsylvania has been in playoff mode for a bit now New Jersey joins in on the fun. Phillipsburg is set to play its postseason opener on Friday.

The Stateliners are the top seed in this year's Section 2, Group 4 tournament.

Phillipsburg had a bye last week, but two weeks ago they suffered their lone loss of the season. It was an overtime setback to Westfield.

They used the bye to heal from a physical game and now turns their focus to eighth seed Morris Hills, who has a 5-4 record.
