Pigs rally late, earn walk-off win over Mets

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs won 6-5 in walk-off fashion over the Syracuse Mets as the Pigs completed the series sweep with Thursday's victory at Coca-Cola Park. The win also put LV back into first place in the north division.

The IronPigs improved to 24-19 overall with the win and the Mets dropped to 24-21 after the loss.

Lehigh Valley trailed by four runs with three innings to go and rallied for the victory. The game-winning hit was a two-run double by Grenny Cumana in the bottom of the ninth inning. The bases were loaded for Cumana who completed the three-run final frame as local product matt McBride hit an RBI single earlier that inning.

Kyle Dohy earned his first Triple-A win as he tossed a scoreless ninth inning. Dohy was called up from Double-A just a few weeks ago. He is now 1-1 during his time with the IronPigs this season.

Nick Williams played for the Pigs, his first game at the Triple A level since June of 2017. He went 2-5 with an RBI.

The IronPigs open up a weekend series against the Buffalo Bisons on Friday night in Allentown. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
