Reading Fightins fall to Erie SeaWolves, 5-4, in extras

ERIE, Pa. - The Reading Figthin Phils fell in extra innings as the Erie SeaWolves completed the late-game come-back for the 5-4 win Wednesday night

The Fightins scored four runs in the first three innings of the game, the first run coming by way of a wild pitch that allowed Luke Williams to score.

Jose Gomez, Nick Maton, and Arquimedes Gamboa drove in the other three runs for the Fightins. Erie scored only once in the fourth before going off for three runs between the ninth and tenth innings.

Reading will try to avoid the sweep Thursday night in Erie.

The R-Phils will return home Friday night for the start of a weekend series against the Trenton Thunder. The first pitch is set for 7:10 p.m.
