READING, Pa. - The Wilson girls' soccer team went onto their first championship since 2014, advanced to the district semifinals and finished 19-4-2 a year ago. The Bulldogs would like to do it again, but need some help on the defense.
Several key defensive players graduated in the offseason, leaving the team with some holes to fill on that side of the field if they'd like to enjoy that same level of success. To help head coach Tim Fick moved one of his leading scorers, Kayla Pennington, to the defensive end.
Wilson's offense will still be potent and if the team can come together for a good defensive unit, they will like to push for another deep playoff run.
