WYOMISSING, Pa. - Wyomissing defeated Berks Catholic 16-9 in a District 3 girl's lacrosse game at Wyomissing High School on Tuesday evening. With the win the Spartans advance to face Lampeter-Strasburg in the next round.
The victory was a comeback one for Wyomissing. The Saints led 5-2 in the game, but the Spartans tightened it up to 6-5 at the half. Then in the second half Wyomissing took control and pulled away in the final minutes.
In other boy's lacrosse action, South Western topped Exeter 12-8, Conrad Weiser downed Lampeter-Strasburg 8-6, and Berks Catholic edged Northern York 8-7.
In District I girl's lacrosse, Boyertown beat Pennsbury 14-9.
